This pewter stein is in honor of the works of art by the famous Renaissance painter and engraver, Albrecht Durer who was born in 1471 in Nuernberg, Germany.

Albrecht Durer started painting at the early age of 13 and by the age of 40 he was known as the painter of famous people. Many of his paintings and carvings were of the rich and famous of his time including Emperors, Queens, government officials and prominent merchants.

Four of some of his most famous works are on this stein which are Knight, Death & the Devil, Dancing Peasants, the Knight and the Servant and Three Peasants in Conversation.
