Refund & Return Policy

At Deutsches Haus – Authentic German Gifts, we take pride in offering authentic, handcrafted German products. Because many of our items are fragile, seasonal, or produced in limited quantities, we maintain the following return and exchange guidelines.
1. Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns on most items within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be unused
- The item must be in its original packaging
- All tags, certificates, and accessories must be included
- The item must arrive back in resellable condition
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error.
Exchanges:
If you would like to exchange an item, please contact us first so we can confirm availability.
2. Non-Returnable Items
Because of their nature, the following items cannot be returned:
- Incense (opened packages)
- Clearance or discounted items
- Items marked “Final Sale”
- Personalized items (if applicable)
- Perishable or consumable items
Certain fragile collectibles may also be marked non-returnable if noted on the product page.
3. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged, please notify us within 7 days of delivery.
Please contact us with:
- Your order number
- A photo of the damaged item
- A photo of the packaging
- A brief description of the issue
We will replace the item or issue a refund depending on availability. A return label will be sent to you to send any defective items back.
4. Wrong Item Received
If you receive the wrong product, please contact us within 7 days.
We will correct the mistake at no cost to you.
5. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method
- Shipping charges are non-refundable
- Please allow 3–5 business days for processing after receiving the item
- Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund
6. Cancellations
Orders may be canceled within 2 hours of placement.
After that, we cannot guarantee cancellation because your order may already be processing or en route from our suppliers.
7. How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us with your name, order number, and a reason for the return. We will provide instructions and a return address.
