It isn’t truly floppy, but it doesn’t sit stiff and even either — it takes on a soft, slightly irregular roll that’s part of the whole casual character. The trimmings lean into the same easygoing spirit. A thick twisted cord in muted teal wraps the base, heavier and more rustic than the fine cords on the dressier hats, and the side is finished with a pair of wooden buttons and a small speckled feather. A quick, honest note on that feather: because these are natural feathers finished by hand, the exact color and style can vary from hat to hat, so yours may differ a little from the one pictured — that variation is part of the character, not a flaw.

Fit & Sizing
German hats are sized by head circumference in centimeters, and this country hat is offered from 54 to 62 cm. To find your size, run a soft tape measure around your head just above the ears and across the middle of your forehead, where the hat will sit, and match that to the size in centimeters. If you land between sizes, the wool has a little natural give and will settle comfortably with wear, so most people choose the nearer measurement.
These hats are unisex, sized purely by head measurement rather than by men’s or women’s sizing, so anyone can wear them — just match your measurement to the centimeter size.

Care
This hat is dry clean only — never wash it in water, which distorts the wool and ruins the shape. For everyday upkeep, brush lightly with a soft hat brush in one direction, taking extra care around the raw brim edge and the feather. To lift lint or dust, wrap tape around your hand, sticky side out, and pat gently over the surface. If the hat catches rain, let it dry naturally on its crown or a hook rather than the brim, and store it somewhere cool and dry, away from direct heat. Cared for this way, it will keep its shape for years.
