Faustmann is a traditional Bavarian hat maker from Unteregg in the alpine south of Germany, a region where the wool felt hat has been part of everyday and festival dress for centuries. Bavaria and the surrounding alpine lands have long shaped the Trachtenhut into its familiar form, and Faustmann carries that tradition forward as one of the last true Hutmanufakturen still making these hats the old way.
