Schildkroet Puppen German Dolls

The company, Schildkroet-Puppen was formerly registered under the corporate name Rheinische Gummi und Celluloidfabrik and was founded in Mannheim in 1873.

The first dolls were made from celluloid and manufactured in 1896. The turtle, which is the company's trademark is still used today on all of their dolls.

Schildkroet is the oldest doll manufacturer in Germany and today produces limited edtion replicas of their original dolls as well as Artist dolls.
