Herbert Gronemeyer, a musician and actor, is very popular in Germany. He starred as Lieutenant Werner in "Das Boot", but continued on focusing on his musical career. This CD, "Mensch" was influenced by the 1998 deaths of his wife and brother who both died within one week. The song "Der Weg" is a powerful moving tribute to a lost one. Herbert Gronemeyer was awarded the title of "European Hero" in 2005 by Time Magazine for his humanitarian work.

This CD is a direct import from Germany. It is the authentic German version rather than the "made for America version".
